The Health and Happiness Project “(Projeto Saúde e Alegria” or PSA) is a non-profit civil initiative that has been operating in the Brazilian Amazon since 1987, promoting and supporting participatory integrated and sustainable community development.

With an emphasis on social mobilization, the PSA team places communities at the heart of the decision-making process of the programs it implements, in order to generate real and lasting benefits in social organization, the environment, health, education, economy, culture and digital inclusion, among other topics, aiming to improve quality of life and the exercise of citizenship.

The “Health and Happiness” concept is based on working together with the Amazon communities through the use of art, recreation and popular communication.
